The specifics of the order to CLM (Climate Limited-Area Modeling Community) emulate, as mentioned above, the COSMO-DE domain specs from the coarse data, but also the resolution of a test file of fine external data:
export:data_oasis3/ann/lfff00000000c400m.nc
Because this file does not provide its dlon and dlat in the rotated coordinates which CLM (Climate Limited-Area Modeling Community) understands, the settings are meant to reproduce its resolution in terms of points per area. The new settings are:
startlat_tot = -5 ,
startlon_tot = -5 ,
origin lat = 50.0 (calculated from pollat = 40.0),
origin lon = 10.0 (calculated from pollon =-170.0),
dlon = 0.004105464,
dlat = 0.004105464,
ie_tot = 3000 ,
je_tot = 3000
These further parameters are not mentioned in the document:“Wrapper for COSMO”, but required by CLM (Climate Limited-Area Modeling Community):
Model version = EXTPAR-4.0.1
pollon=-170
pollat=40
polgam=0
startlon_tot=-5
startlat_tot=-5
oro=1
orofilter=0
landuse=2
soil=1
tcl=1
aot=1
albedo=2
urban=2
The new resolution is 399 m, close to the test file’s 419 m.
